It’s been a while so here’s a quickie to let you all know what I’ve been up to and what is on the horizon.
I am currently preparing for a couple of days recording in November with legendary producer Kramer. Kramer has produced an extensive amount of truly beautiful work. It was his treatment of Dot Allison’s vocals on ‘Exaltations of Larks’ that really blew me away, so imagine my honour and delight when he said he’d like to work with me! I’ll let you know how we get on.
I am also talking to another behemoth producer about working together soon but we’ve not decided on a track yet, so I won’t jinx it by saying who. I’ll give you a clue though; we’ve worked together before.
INTO THE BLUE
The EP I released earlier this year, ‘Into the Blue’ has had a great reception with some cracking reviews (and a Tom Robinson Mixtape play on 6Music). You can check them out HERE.
The EP has two videos so far and a third on it’s way. I’m incredibly lucky to be working with such wonderful artists.
The first video for ‘Into the Blue’ was created the very talented artist Caroline Campbell from Glasgow. Caroline is a painter and visual artist and she created the stunning painting for the EP cover. You can see more of Caroline’s work here http://www.balticwheels.org/ and here http://carolinecampbell.weebly.com.
The second video for ‘Stop the Clock’ was created by New York based multimedia artist Alice Emily Baird. Check out her other work here http://www.aliceemilybaird.com/
The third video for ‘If’ is currently in production. This will be an animated short film using my song as a narrative backdrop. The stills I’ve seen from it so far look incredible…more on that soon.
‘Into The Blue’ is now available on CD via Bandcamp. It’s also still available on digi via the usual places i-Tunes, Amazon, Spotify, Napster etc.
That’s all for now…thanks for listening. x
